[Finale] 2007 crashes on playback

everytime I playback a file - the app quits (dialog box says the app   
has suddenly quit and gives options to report or reopen...) - happens  
with Garritan sounds and smart music soft synth - the time code in  
the playback controls window seems to hang on a negative  
number....anybody run into this? I've already reinstalled Finale to  
no avail....I'm running on a dual 2.5 G5 mac tower....
