I do an "ego-search" every once in a while and often discover performances of my music that I didn't know about. It is probably good business practice to check what is being put out there about yourself. (This email, for example, will be fairly embarrassing a few years from now.)
Usually I search for "Randolph Peters" (in quotes) and add the word music to the Google search field. (This usually eliminates the artist from Australia, the doctor, the computer scientist, and the sex offender from Alabama.) But to my chagrin, I've also tried my name in quotes followed by a number of "random" words such as garbage, crap, awful, terrible, horrible and they all come up with hits. I should add that not all of those descriptors refer to me...
