>Finale can overlook much. But I believe you can do what you want with a
staff style.

not really, i would need to apply a staff style to all instruments a´nd remove
in the parts, and i use staff styles extensively for percussion, and sometimes
for other instruments. and finale does not allow the option of rmoving
selected staff styles (i use multiple ones on same staves for reasons... too
long to explain)

Um, aren't there TWO settings in Documents->Time Signature where you can
tell it the spacing and stuff. Using Bill Duncan's TempoTime font, I can
set it for Parts, but also keep a different font for the score (as well
as settings)......

So, using Bill Duncan's fonts again, I can use a different time
signature font, like one that goes across multiple staves. (Big Time I
think it is called).

-----------

yes you can do this with any font, i need to be able to have the score-defined
time sigs raised (explained this in an earlier mail) but there is no
possibility to vertically position score and staff time sigs differently.

since large time sigs only need to go on few staves, you need t be able to NOT
have them show on most staves, this means they don' show in the parts either.
