I agree. I must adjust these by hand every time. There is a
checkbox in the slur options that says "Make Horizontal Over System
Break" that does absolutely nothing that I have ever been able to
see. I raise the trailing end of the exiting slur and the leading
edge of the entering one, sometimes making other adjustments in the
curve too, in order to get these looking right. I have yet to find
settings that improve this situation and find it a large PITA.
Anyone who has a better solution is invited to contribute.
