You will not find a good guitar sound in collections. After long search I finally gave up and made my own soundfont. You can download it at:
http://www.yatesguitar.com/misc/Milburn-normal.SF2 (4.7MB) Note that this only has 'normal' tone. The complete soundfont (32MB) has other patches for staccato, ponticello, tasto, gliss, vibrato, etc. Demos using the complete font can be heard at: http://www.yatesguitar.com/misc/Arabe-Demo.mp3 (a very cheesy interpretation of Capricho Arabe to show off the font). http://www.yatesguitar.com/misc/Colloquio.mp3 (a more restrained and convincing example using Angelo Gilardino's Colloquio) http://www.yatesguitar.com/misc/01-Pastorale-V-G-F.mp3 (Debussy trio arranged for Flute, Viola, and Guitar (replacing harp) - The flute and viola are soundfonts also.) http://www.yatesguitar.com/misc/02-Interlude-V-G-F.mp3 http://www.yatesguitar.com/misc/03-Final-V-G-F.mp3 Let me know what you think.
