Also, newer electrical tape tends to be less gooey than the old stuff.
I've even seen it packaged simply as "plastic tape" and not specifically
"electrician's tape" because youngsters use it to decorate all sorts of
things -- my daughter is practically single-handed (well, she and her
boyfriend) keeping 3M in business!
