A real "Urtext edition" (none actually exist) would not be a critical edition at all, as it would just reproduce the original text. If Urtext editions were really what they claim, there would be no critical evaluation involved in their production. I think what would likely count as a "scientific" editions is a *critical* edition, which is by definition something completely different from the stated goals of the "Urtext edition." -- David W.
