There are some Finale issues in the way KP2 and HP interact, as well as some
more general issues, including an installer that evidently does not place the
.DLL files in the proper location (not sure what the Mac equivalent of a .DLL
is) . I don't know if Robert Piechaud was aware of the release, either.
Since I am a PC user, I'm not qualified to comment on the Mac-specific issues, but they
keep cussing about "no universal binary" or some such.
Unfortunately, there are many players in this game: NI, MakeMusic, Garritan,
Robert P., Apple, etc. As far as I can determine, NI simply released the player
when it felt like it. ;-(

Hello,
For those of you who use Macintosh and the full GPO, and have been
waiting for the Kontakt 2 player:
Native instruments earlier this week posted the GPO Kontakt 2 player
for download from their site . It isn't on the Garritan site yet,
and I have read that Gary Garritan is giving it a full test this
weekend.
The file on the NI site is called: Garritan Personal Orchestra
Kontakt Player 2.2.1 Mac OS X Update
Has anyone downloaded it? If so, is it working well? Or should we
wait a few more days for Garritan's indication that we are good to go?
