How true that is! What's that line from South Pacific about kids having to be taught to learn hate before they're six or seven or eight?

"To hate all the people your relatives hate; you've got to be carefully taught."

And I understand that Rodgers & Hammerstein took a lot of flack because of that song, from people whom we would probably recognize today as highly racist. But that was the temper of the time.
