Well, except for viols. It's very disconcerting to have to read in 
multiple clefs, but a tenor viol player could very well be asked in a 
single concert to play in alto clef (the standard clef for the 
instrument), treble clef 8ba and treble clef at pitch. I'm adept at 
this *now*, but the first time I ever did it it gave me a headache.

If you're doing parts for an edition like this that you would like 
playable on viols *please* provide alto clef parts for the inner 
voices, especially any part with a treble clef 8ba (but also low alto 
parts in regular treble clef).
