Hi Hiro,

If I keep my eyes open, the [9] bug doesn't cause me much trouble. I have encountered it when exploding entries, but I'm used to watching for it.

I played with Simple for a while yesterday, but the Speedy Entry way of working is so ingrained in my workflow that I think I will not change until something forces me. I am not such a fast writer/ thinker that the computer is slowing me down.

The theory - among the MM guys, is that in Simple, you can add
articulations and dynamics within the same tool - the same entry
window. I get that, and I can see that as a way to save a step or
two.

What about the [9] bug? My entire purpose trying to learn Simple is,
while I have never bitten by it, the fear of that bug. I play for a
composer who is constantly bitten by this bug. What a wast of rehearsal time.

I regret I haven't paying close attention to the thread, and have been
using Speedy without getting bitten by that bug. I wonder why. Is it
because I never use key sig on my compositions?

I found inconsistency between Speedy and Simple really screws me up.
For example, you hit [=] after note entry for Tie in Speedy, but you
have to press Cmd+Opt+T in Simple BEFORE note entry. Why it has to be
so inconsistent, is my question.

I think you can just hit T after entering the note in Simple. It's the "chose note value before pitch" that throws me.

I also find the documentation not so clear about the order of keystrokes when entering things in Simple with a MIDI keyboard, but I admit I may be missing something.

Chuck

I also found not hearing the correct pitch when entering is really
screwing me up. In Simple, you add accidental after you enter un-
accidentaled note. It is almost asking for mistake.
