You're right that the behavior is as always. Thanks for pointing that out!
But, in 07 or 08 when I do as you suggest:
select a bar to change to 2/4
select the second of the new 2/4 bars to change to 4/4 and "rebar music"
I end up with only two beats of music in the first new 4/4 bar.
You misunderstood -- I told you to select ALL the rest of the music
starting with the second 2/4 measure, all the way to the end.
At least that's what I meant to say -- perhaps I wasn't clear.
After you select all the rest of the music, change the meter to 4/4 and
have it rebar the music and you should be all set.
