I believe the intent of Sib is to be able to enter everything from the
>computer keyboard, what they call power using. I'm now several days into
>learnig Sib5 and I find the compute keyboard approach extremely easy to
>use, easier than Fin. I should add that I have always been a Simple Entry
>Fin user. Some aspects of Fin seem still easier, e.g. the ability to
>manipulate slurs by their handles. Sib does not offer that feature, but it
>does allow editing of slurs with up/down arrows, making it much easier to
>work with. One can nudge almost anything in Sib with up/down simply by
>clicking to select and then moving (slurs, barlines, notes, expressions,
>accidentals, etc.); Fin forces one to select menus and drag handles, which
>often obscure the object being edited and it seems less precise. In Sib
>one can see all one's edits as they are occuring; it is a much more
>intuitive method, at least for me. I've only been engraving an art song of
>mine; I've yet to work with a large score, linked parts, etc., but so far
>I'm prefering the Sib method to Fin.
> So far the grass has been truly greener...
