Sonavagun ... maybe the Sib list is vaunted with just cause. It still takes quite a while to see my posts appear there though. I understand this will improve as my persona, such as it is, has a higher profile in their eyes. Get my Sib 5 Monday. They (audioMIDI.com) were out of stock for a few days, if anyone else was wondering about a shipping delay. Should be interesting. Oh yeah, when I install the actual Sib 5, do I have to dump the Demo, or does that occur automatically?

I asked in the much-vaunted Sibelius list if it was possible to produce files without TT fonts but got not a single reply. I don't suppose there is any problem with the regular music font, which can be replaced. But Sibelius installs quite a few other TT fonts (for continuo figures, etc.) So I assume, since no one answered, that it not possible in Sibelius to avoid TT fonts. Which means I couldn't even suggest using it for this publisher.

Actually the resident representative of Sibelius just did answer you, Dennis, but perhaps you missed it:

You have the option of using either TrueType or PostScript Type 1 fonts
with Sibelius 4 or later. All 40-plus fonts that are included with
Sibelius are supplied in both TT and PS formats.

On both Mac and Windows, Sibelius installs the TrueType ones by default, but if you want to use the Type 1 fonts, it's very straightforward to do so.

See 'Music fonts' in Help > Sibelius Reference for specific
instructions, or let me know if you run into any problems.

(As an aside, there's really no specific benefit to using Type 1 fonts
in the 21st century, and publishers and bureaus who maintain that there
is a benefit are either using very outdated imagesetting hardware, or
are very superstitious!)
