As far as a midi sequencer, you can use Finale to do this. Create the
expression "dim", and set it to affect the volume controller. Create and
execute a executable shape which starts high, and decreases the volume
towards the right. Play with the executable shape definition until it is
of the desired duration.
Other's have mentioned ideas as to how to generate ~.pdf files of the
first page. However, you might check the file overhead for a ~.pdf and
compare it with the overhead of file size of a grayscale ~.jpg; I
haven't done it, but it might be that a jpg might be enough smaller to
allow you to get more files onto your site.
