What struck me immediately is Owain's use of the word "tuplets" for

Well, I was using the word in the context of Ferneyhough, himself a
Finale user!
Hey, I APPROVE of the word! We needed it, apparently Finale invented
it, and everyone understands it. What more could we want from a new
technical term? EVPU's is quite a bit less intuitive, and I seem to
recall in version 2 or so "TCP Watershed Bits" which thankfully
disappeared in later versions of Finale! "Measure stack" meaning the
same numbered measure in all staves, was needed starting in 2008, and
it isn't TOO hard to grasp.
Though I wonder how F himself accomplishes partial tuplets (back to
the original question!)
