What's an AMS file? I noticed I had to trash my Finale preferences

AMS = Audio MIDI Setup
You will find the config files in ~/Library/Audio/MIDI Configurations.

In my vague memory, the problem hit you only when you migrate from PPC
to Intel. I never use the assistant so I haven't seen this crash, but
the sign is that the crash.log shows MIDI crash at the hardware layer (HAL).

Hmm, when I migrated from my G4 to my Intel Mac, I only had to move the authorisation and trash preferences. But I guess that's the joy of using Finale; one never knows what kind of problem you are going to have that is specific to you and only you! 8-)=) [big toothy grin]

Right now I am having trouble getting files from 2007 to playback in 2008. I guess I'll figure it out eventually, but it sure is a pain!
