What about the measures to the left of the left-most measure in your example? And are you looking at this in page view or scroll view? I already replied earlier about adjusting measure widths in page view to something drastically narrow (in the case of measures that have, say, only a whole rest or a whole note, for instance), and the doing an update layout, which spreads things out nicely in the system. The example you cite above looks like what I'd get if I adjusted measure widths to the left, and the wide measure were the last measure of the system, and I neglected to update layout. I often do this to get spacing that's tighter than the default algorithms allow, but still visually satisfactory. -- David W.
