Hi Randolph, Thank you - I used to do what you suggest all the time, but since I have refrained from resizing/shaping the tool pallet, the preferences hardly get corrupted, and I have stopped taking the trouble. I wonder if the tool pallet issue has been repaired, so I think I will do as you suggest and then try to move the tools around to see what happens. At least I will be well prepared in the event of a corruption.
