Please forgive the cross-post, but I don't have this kind of thing happen
very often:

Lowly bass trombonist-composer actually has some performances upcoming.
Details and links are on my website:

Links for the combined concert by the Louisville Orchestra members and
National Symphony members will have more info very soon, as that program was
only finalized today. The flyer the went out tonight says "Musicians from
the Nation's Capital," so I guess I am not supposed to say if they are
members of the National Symphony, but since the National Symphony is playing
an orchestral concert in Louisville the night before and a chamber concert
the night of, it is pretty obvious who the "Musicians from the Nation's
Capital" are.

This list includes three performances of *Make Gentle the Life of This World
*, which uses the 1968 speech by Senator Robert Kennedy on the night of the
assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., PLUS a commission-premiere in
early May, if all goes well*.

(*For* **Fire and Freedom *there are, currently a few problems locating
budget and musicians, and uh, well, the music isn't written either, but we
have big plans! The coordinator swears this is going to come off, no matter
what, so I am going to write it before she kills me.)

Please come and hear any and all performances! I hear Trinidad is wonderful
(I wish I could make that one, myself, but I have to play a concert here!).
I will be (playing) at the Louisville performance, will be attending and
speaking at the Susquehanna Symphony Orchestra, (looking forward to that one
very much - it will be conducted by o-list member and good friend Sheldon
Bair), and I will be conducting in Anniston, AL. (The Freedom Riders
survived that first attack - I do hope all of us involved survive the
fiftieth anniversary.)
