I never knew his name. Thanks for the link. That was a voice that can honestly be called "unique"!

Another was the guy who sang bass with Singers Unlimited, whose name I can't remember. I think he did The Jolly Green Giant commercials. (Gene Peurling was bass with the Hi-Lo's before Singers Unlimited, but he was never really a bass. And because of that he came up with the trick of using bowed string bass as a 5th low voice, going back to the early Starlight albums.)
