I had a friend of mine do it for me yesterday. It didn't seem to be a
problem. Obviously it's all attack and no decay, but there was both plenty
of sound and plenty of pitch. I think it will work well for me. I want to
add zing to the attack on a flute sfz note.

I would agree:  a perfect context for it.
