We discussed this at length on ths list many years ago. Google turned up this post <http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/msg07619.html>, but I can't figure out how to navigate to the longer one that preceded it. The basic idea is that you need to define the articulation as centered in order to lock in the horizontal position, and you need to set positioning offsets to put it where you want it. Then, when applying the metatool you need to do a drag over the note rather than a single click, so that it falls into default position rather than exactly where you clicked. Also, if your arpeggio scheme is like mine, you'll need two different articulations, depending on whether it's an odd or even interval starting on a line or space. You'll still have to nudge one end of the marking vertically, because the default is always too long wherever it lands, and in cases of accidentals or displaced noteheads you'll have to nudge horizontally as well. So it's still a little tedious, but it gives consistent results and is way better than eyeballing each one case by case. mdl _______________________________________________ Finale mailing list [email protected] http://lists.shsu.edu/mailman/listinfo/finale
