If you're typing in an application that allows for Unicode -- ie, not Finale 
:-( -- there is a character that looks like a script f.  It's U+192, ASCII 
#402, html ƒ.  On Mac it's typed with opt-f, on Windows alt 159.

The character is used as a currency symbol for the Dutch florin.  It is also 
conventionally used by some applications to mean "folder".
