i have not tried this, but i think it should work: keep everything in the original staff and copy music to the alt_staff as needed in the original staff: - apply a staff style that hides everything - unlink + hide any measure-attached smart shapes in the SC system you need to hide - set the next lower staff to 0 EVPU distance from it in the PT (linked), ctrl-click the staff style bar and, using the context menu, clear the staff style from the "current PT only" you could even use a mirror for the alt_staff (or vice-versa) which will reflect simple revisions at least (expressions and smart shapes will have to be copied first, and updated if the mirror source is edited) you then don't need the alt_staff at all for the PT and linked parts still work for the original staff _______________________________________________ Finale mailing list [email protected] http://lists.shsu.edu/mailman/listinfo/finale
