Now that chords can be attached without notation I'm wondering how others go about spacing measures that only have the staff style "slash notation" in them. If nothing else occurs in the measure stack, and with the minimum meas. width set to zero, these measures are very squashed-looking. Bars with several changes can still a problem since I usually have chords unchecked in the music spacing prefs.
I usually wind up doing what I had to do before chords could be attached independently and put rests in each measure to provide basic, consistent spacing (i.e., 4 quarter rests in each measure in 4/4). I copy this throughout while setting up and change as needed while scoring. Overall, pretty painless, but I was curious if someone knew a better way to handle this, like maybe a different minimum measure width or something else.
