could maybe work too, but an expression can get shifted, or might not always sit exactly properly...
it is quite quick once set up actually, and uses "normal" finale input methods. your "workaround" is minor, but avoidable entirely. layer 3 whole measure rests can also be mass-copied easily to cue measures with "show active layer only" on. the thing is, you have to apply a staff style anyways to hide the cue, and the staff style can show whole measure rests in layer 1. so i'm not quite sure why you are actually doing it that way... is there some method to your madness i don't see? >A whole rest expression seems easier than that, and so far it's >working pretty well. _______________________________________________ Finale mailing list [email protected] http://lists.shsu.edu/mailman/listinfo/finale
