Can you edit the current breath mark and turn off the playback for it?

If so, that would be the easiest.  Or create a new breath mark as an 
expression and don't define any playback for it.

That's all I've got as far as changing how HP interprets it -- The only 
other suggestion is to turn off HP while you save the audio for the demos.

Regarding how the humans interpret the marks, you could simply add a 
text box above the first measure explaining that the breath marks are 
just that and not to be interpreted as being caesurae.
