Sorry I wasn't more explicit. I want rehearsal marks to appear at the top of the score and on the soloist staff (this is a concerto with orchestra accompaniment). On pages where all the staves above the soloist are hidden, I want a rehearsal mark on the next staff below the soloist as well.
I see what you're saying about skipping the auto-sequencing completely at that point, and inserting a different expression. If necessary, you can create the single purpose expression, but why would you need to hide it in the parts? You can simply have the auto-sequencing skip that mark.
