Frank, I just looked at the Garritan section of the finale music.com website yesterday and clicked on the Garritan tab in the upper right section. http://garritan.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/5381/session/L3RpbWUvMTM4NjY2MTU5OC9zaWQvU1B4VTdzSGw%3D There is a slide show of four panels, one of which is a link to the blog wherein they discuss how to solve these problems for Window users and Mac users. I even printed them out. So far, so good.

I have tried this reinstallation several times deleting any files named Finale 2014 I can find before starting, but not once on opening the newly installed program have I been prompted for an activation code or my serial number. This suggests to me that there may be an admin file somewhere I've missed. I'm installing on my E: drive, which is where my previous Finale installations have been made. Finale have been helpful, but so far not successfully. I would be glad of any advice anyone else can offer.
