Personally I have great admiration for workers like you who are trying to find the best tools for the work you're trying to do. While you may be Marxist, I don't think that's an important aspect of anybody's personality while dealing with computer software. :-) In this day and age, when computer software may be very good but is still far from perfect, there is no reason to be stuck with any single program if we feel that different programs can help us with different projects. I don't know whether or not you have joined the Sibelius group yet, but I strongly encourage you to do so. There are some of us in that group who use both programs, just as there are here (not necessarily the same people in both groups) but in the Sibelius group there are some very experienced users (just as there are very experienced Finale users in this group) who can answer any questions you might have. The cross-grade offer is very reasonable. -- David H.
