I've pretty much abolished the use of "should" and "ought". :) Changing point size doesn't work with Word Perfect even in a brand new text block. I was pretty sure I had created a new one, and have now checked. For the moment I'm going with creating separate text blocks if I want more than one font / size / style, as I haven't needed to do anything seriously fiddly yet. I'm guessing that I might be OK with a font or word processor that didn't originate with another company. Commercial blackmail of a rather subtle type? Thanks for your input.
