Solved my own problem.  I had the tempo setting on one expression and the swing 
setting on another, and both expressions were attached to the same point in the 
score (ie, the very first note).  For some reason that made the audio file 
export only read one expression and not the other (even though the in-Finale 
playback read it just fine).  When I moved the swing expression to the 2nd 
measure it worked fine.  Weird.

(Is there a way to set both tempo and swing on a single expression?  I had it 
on two separate because the expression’s playback definition only let me pick 
one type and I could figure out a way to make multiple definitions.)
