Yes, I think that is accurate. Dorico 2 has many bugs. Most have work-arounds. Of the bugs I have encountered, supposedly all are fixed internally and will be in a patch release that is expected any day. However, new bugs are being reported daily, so I Steinberg is trying to include as many fixes as possible in this patch. If they follow the pattern of other Steinberg products, they will be targeting a version 2.5 about October. They have a lot of work to do to stabilize 2.0 and also develop the new functions for 2.5.

At this point, I can do all the projects immediately before me with Dorico, but I do require a few days rest in between projects because I find the work-arounds stressful. I expect by 2.5 (with the first patch -- i.e. probably around November 2018), this should be in the range of what a person could call a commercial grade product.
