Thank you, S. Jones for your quick response; highly appreciated.

What you describe is not working for me. Maybe I wasn't very clear in my
original post. What I have is a template . I am trying to add (well,
re-add) some of the existing staves, which are odd guitar tab staves
(9-strings). When I go to the Score Manager, I don't see any method of
adding or re-adding an existing stave. There are no staff contents to
copy, as this is a template.

I also tried adding a new guitar tab staff; default is obviously six
strings. I tried changing this to 9 strings. So: go to ScoreManagaer .
select staff in Instrument List. For Notation Style = Tablature. I click
Settings > Tablature Staff Attributes > Instrument > Edit Instrument >
Fretboard Instrument Definition. Set Number of Strings to 9. The 9
strings show in the dialog box. Click OK. Nothing changes on the 6-string
tab staff.

Frustrating all around.

Kind regards,
-kk
