I won’t attempt to describe the stylistic reasons for adopting such solutions, 
the work (a slow movement for string orchestra and celesta) is full of such 
examples. In some cases they seem an irrational solution compared to the rules 
underlying modern rhythmic language; nevertheless, the composer assured she 
will add introductory notes for guidance in performing and conducting.
