That's good to know.

Now that you mention it, I previously had a Contour UniMouse and, if 
I recall correctly, I did not have to enable emulation then. 
Unfortunately, I also very much wanted to exchange the left and right 
buttons (using the mouse with my left hand), and so needed an OS X 
driver that would do that. As far as I know, Kensington was the first 
(and perhaps only so far). And, for some reason, Kensington's scroll 
wheel click wouldn't be interpreted as button 2. Hence the emulation.

[So why are some people having trouble with cut and paste if Paul and 
I have done it with so little trouble? Is it the fact that we have 2 
button scroll mice?]
