I used emacs to create the .cshrc file, and 'printenv PATH' returns ~/bin/powerpc-apple-darwin:/Users/gbh/bin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/bin:/bin:/usr/ local/sbin:/usr/sbin:/sbin
