[ok, I'm no unix guru...]
I'm trying to update several things in fink, and with each
one, it fails at this point:
tar: illegal option -- T
usage: tar -{txru}[cevfbmopswzBHLPXZ014578] [tapefile] [blocksize]
[replstr] [-C directory] file1 file2...
### dpkg-deb failed, exit code 13
Failed: can't create package expat_1.95.3-2_darwin-powerpc.deb
(or whatever package)
If I type tar at the command line, I get the following:
tar: Failed open to read on /dev/nrst0 <No such file or directory>
tar worked for me until recently. I've searched on Deja
(aka Google) and it sounds like this nrst0 is related
to scsi tape-backups (I don't have scsi or a tape-drive).
Anyone know what's happening here?
OS X 10.1.5, with all the recent security patches applied
without any problems, or so I thought.
Brian
very confused
