Martin, Thank you for your reply. To answer your quesiton about the MacOS X version, I'm running 10.2.2. I did recompile everything and it, for the most part, seems to be working.
I have looked on http://fink.sourceforge.net and don't see anything which outright talks about a Jaguar upgrade. Under "older news" I did find the link, http://fink.sourceforge.net/news/jaguar.php, which I hope is what you want me to see. Please let me know.
