I installed fink & fink commander, choose to install xchat (with commander) which would require X & gnome, which is what I wanted to test an install with.

When staring from the "X" icon it quits and if started from the terminal with "startx -- -quartz" or "startx -- -rootless" I get the following errors:

and then it does.
