The question: How does one start the process of nominiating and/or causing a current SourceForge project with MacOSX bin- aries to become a Fink package? I'm thinking about net-snmp (http://net-snmp.sourceforge.net).
If you have the time, please read on... Funny thing... MacOSX has man pages for an snmp daemon but that's all. It seems there are binaries at the net-snmp web page (http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=12694) that outwardly appear to be usable, though some work likely needs to go into installing them with the right permissions. A manual install makes me uncomfortable as the files would not be part of a package under Fink or MacOSX. It would be nice if a couple people could get together, a Fink person and a net-snmp person, and come up with a Fink package for the MacOSX-compiled version. Can anyone point me to any information to aid me in this effort?
