Here's the output when I try to start gnome-session manually from an > xterm: > _IceTransmkdir: Owner of /tmp/.ICE-unix should be set to root > SESSION_MANAGER=local/ip91-68.pc.jmu.edu:/tmp/.ICE-unix/7405 > > I've checked around for some other log files that might have something > more enlightening. Any ideas?
Sorry, I meant to add that I've run fink selfupdate, and fink update-all. I'm currently running gnome 2.0.3-2. After the output I've pasted above, are usually some lines regarding the audio, so the absence of this could seem to indicate a failure with gnome-audio. Is there a way to start gnome without audio to test that theory? thanks again, /mark [Mark Veerman | [EMAIL PROTECTED] ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: ValueWeb: Dedicated Hosting for just $79/mo with 500 GB of bandwidth!
