Well, I installed the December 2002 Apple Developer Tools and then reuilt
gnome-core and gnome-session. The first time I tried to launch
gnome-session via .xinitrc and it worked!!! So, I'm going to assume that
my inconsistencies have been ironed out. I'm sure you'll hear from me if
it doesn't work out. ;-)

I couldn't help but notice that you've contributed a lot of personal time
to helping novice users in the fink mailing list - THANKS! I really
appreciate all the time you've taken for myself and others. Perhaps I'll
be able to help out myself at some point.

One final question - Do you prefer Apple's implementation of X11 or
fink's?

take care,
/mark
