I get the same message intermittently on my laptop, even though I do have esound installed, so it may be something else.

I just installed bundle-kde-ssl 3.1.2-3 and when I run startkde I get the following message Sound server informational message: --- Error while initializing the sound driver: Couldn't connect to server The sound server will continue, using the null output device --- I only installed bundle-kde-ssl and I noticed esound is not installed. This is the problem isn't it? I will install it and see what happens if it works then bundle-kde-ssl should also include esound i think. ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email sponsored by: Free pre-built ASP.NET sites including Data Reports, E-commerce, Portals, and Forums are available now.
