If it still doesn't work maybe let us have a look at the output of startkde.

I just installed bundle-kde-ssl 3.1.2-3 and when I run startkde I get the following message

I only installed bundle-kde-ssl and I noticed esound is not installed. This is the problem isn't it? I will install it and see what happens if it works then bundle-kde-ssl should also include esound i think.
