This is more on the bug I posted recently. The problem seems to be with libiconv-1.7-7. fink can't complete the build due to an erroneous directory reference. I can build, check and install it by hand without any problems. However, here's the kicker ... Once it is installed, any attempt to build/install/update packages (even tar crashes) always lead to an error: version mismatch. The message indicates the current version of the dyld in question is 3.0.0 but it needs version 0.0.0. It could be the other way around, but in either case it doesn't make much sense. Unfortunately, not upgrading libiconv and about 6 or so other packages is not an option. At least with respect to the packages I'm wanting to update or install. These include apt-get and dlcompat, among others. They all share dependencies on libiconv-1.7-7 -- which is, by the way, listed as an unstable version (go figure). This problem appeared prior to updating gcc from 3.1 to 3.3. Of course, now that I've installed the update, it appears I'm even more screwed. Any suggestions for work-arounds, fixes, or patches? Any help would be appreciated.
