You can probably ignore the checksum error--it's just fonts.

As far as I can tell, mplayer itself doesn't depend on emacs--it must be
some other dependency.

Subject: Re: [Fink-beginners] mplayer

Hi,

I have the same problem, and it's a problem with the mplayer package.
In a previous email, I wrote:

So "mad" should be replaced by "libmad" in the Build-Depends and Depends
lines of the file
/sw/fink/10.2/unstable/main/finkinfo/graphics/mplayer-0.90.0-2.info

When you do this manually, the installation seems to begin as expected.
However, I couldn't finish it because fink says
"The checksum of the file font-arial-iso-8859-1.tar.bz2 of package
mplayer-font-arial-iso-8859-1-0.1-1 is incorrect. ..."

After retrying a couple of times, I decided not to go on with this.

Actually, I'm also quite surprised to see that mplayer depends on
emacs! That's a
big extra installation, and I wonder what it has to do with mplayer...
I'm not
familiar with the mplayer package, but I'm just curious what's going on
there.
Could that emacs dependence be replaced by emacsen-common ?

Jens
