I'm running an emac G4, pretty much brand new. I installed Fink from binary and X11, along with the SDK. Basically, I've been using Fink to download pysoulseek, and followed the instructions that I found here: http://slskboard.savagenews.com/index.php?s=cf184a0550873e07ef0bddbb2ffa8d0c&showtopic=5830. First, selfupdate-cvs doesn't work, although regular selfupdate seems to work fine, but after that when I try 'fink install wxgtk' I get the error message: ./configure --prefix=/sw --enable-fink --mandir=/sw/share/man checking for gcc... no checking for cc... no checking for cc... no checking for cl... no configure: error: no acceptable C compiler found in $PATH See `config.log' for more details. ### execution of ./configure failed, exit code 1 Failed: compiling dlcompat-20030522-1 failed
>From reading the FAQs, I know this is the usual error message that comes from not installing X11, but I installed it and re-installed it. I can't figure out what else I might have missed here. ------------------------------------------------------- This sf.net email is sponsored by:ThinkGeek Welcome to geek heaven. http://thinkgeek.com/sf _______________________________________________ Fink-beginners mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/fink-beginners
