I have installed gnu ddd on my machine and I just found out that I need to update my gcc compiler in order for ddd to work right. I have checked fink and other sites for a package to update the compiler. The apple xtools claims it has the newest gcc 3.3 with it, but how do I access it? How do I update my compiler?
If you have an on topic version of the Apple developer tools, than do you have the recent version of gcc.
But indeed. It seems that the Apple gcc has some bugs.
An simple self compiled version of gcc will not work.
On the other hand: Why do you think that you have to update your gcc for ddd?
<AKH> Amplifying on this: what is the exact error message you get? Also, have you applied the XCode 1.1 update?
